Pluto Stationary Retrograde April 2010

72 earthquake hits Baja C 001 Pluto Stationary Retrograde April 2010

Baja Earthquake (guardian.co.uk)

Pluto stations retrograde 07 April 2010 at 02:34 UT. The news has been full of catastrophic events this last few days. Earthquakes, mine explosions, and an upsurge in suicide bombings in Afghanistan, Iraq and Pakistan. Sounds like the influence of Uranus (explosive and unexpected) and Pluto (underground, global). Interestingly both these planets are conjunct previous or upcoming lunations, and the involvement of the Lunar cycle is a key feature in the predictive work of Richard Nolle. He warned of a “geocosmic shock window” from 27 March to 05 April due to the “lunar perigree and southward of the celestial equator both taking place on the 28th, just two days before the full moon on the 30th. The Moon’s April 4 south declination extreme brings up the rear.” [Astropro].

Britt “Tejas” Luneborg has linked all this excitement to the New Moon of 15 March conjunct Uranus in Aquarius. [Divine Astrology]. Suzi Starcana Dronzek made a very personal prediction on 04 April, “I have been been personally experiencing intuitive tremors and making notes on my personal tremor log….But with the tremors I have felt, something is shaking he earth. With Jupiter, there is an increase of moisture that is loosening the earth. I have seen a number of repeated visions of ‘rings on fire’, and after days of wondering – ‘what the heck is that?’ I am assuming with additional messages received, that these visuals is a volcano(s).” [Starcana] .Perhaps the “rings on fire” is the Pacific Ring of Fire.

Jude Cowell calls Pluto ”Mr. Underworld, the saboteur with the invisible helmet” and looks at Sabian Symbols for more links to dark times ahead, “Ten Logs Lie under an Archway Leading to Darker Woods” [Stars Over Washington]. The methods of these astrologers are all very different yet they tell a similar story based on the astrology of the moment. Even little asteroids can add to the picture, Pluto has stationed retrodgrade conjunct the asteroid Charybdis the sea monster feared by sailors.  Yesterday a coal tanker went off course and hit the Great Barrier Reef off Australia leaking tonnes of oil.

pluto stationary retrograde april 2010 150x150 Pluto Stationary Retrograde April 2010Back to the cycles of the Moon, you can see from the chart here that Uranus is with the last New Moon (25pis10). The Moon itself is on the last Solar Eclipse degree (25cap01), and Pluto is on the next Lunar Eclipse degree (04cap46). The North Lunar Node is conjunct todays Quarter Moon (16cap29).

One final link which adds to the picture is the fixed star which Pluto is now on, and which the next Lunar Eclipse will also highlight. Kaus Australis is supposed to  be “Quiet in nature with its Venus spectra. Associated with the Goddess Istar.” I’m not so sure about the quiet nature of Venus though after reading the Sumerian mythology of Inanna (Ishtar) which Beth Turnage posted on Sunday. “But Inanna’s twin sister, Ereshkigal, had a dominion all her own before Inanna secured her earthly authority, the Underworld….Inanna is not satisfied with being just the Queen of Heaven, so she decides to face her sister in the Underworld“. [Astrology Explored]. This mythology from the pioneers of astrology links Venus (Inanna) with Pluto (Ereshkigal), and Pluto is now on the star they associated with Venus.

    WAR in summer.

  1. OK Lorenzo, northern hemisphere, southern hemisphere, or Mesopotamia?

  2. Might have to correct you there I think, Ereshkigal could be Lilith or possibly Eris. Certainly a Percephone archetype and most definately a SHE!

  3. I found another one too, as I was flicking about tonight. Asteroid Pythia, the original Delphic oracle, who it is said ….. let me wiki…

Recent geological investigations have shown that gas emissions from a geologic chasm in the earth could have inspired the Delphic Oracle to connect with the divine.

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pythia

She’s been opposing Pluto the last few days, just separating now.

  4. Marina :

Might have to correct you there I think, Ereshkigal could be Lilith or possibly Eris. Certainly a Percephone archetype and most definately a SHE!

Lilith originated in Sumerian Culture and she was the handmainden of Inanna (Venus). So I think that rules her out as Ereshkigal. Both the Greek Hades and Roman Pluto are gods of the underworld, so Eresskigal as goddess of the underworld fits our idea of Pluto in astrology.

  5. Karen :

Recent geological investigations have shown that gas emissions from a geologic chasm in the earth could have inspired the Delphic Oracle to connect with the divine.

That’s amazing, and I love that pic of her in that wiki link. It would be interesting to find exactly what it was in the gasses that did the trick.

  6. Found it: “ethylene can cause both benign trances and euphoric frenzied states. Other effects include physical detachment, loss of inhibitions, the relieving of pain, and rapidly changing moods without dulling consciousness.”

  7. Ok I guess I’m being too literal in translation. But I think we are saying the same thing. What about Eris then? She’s a Plutino. Percephone was Queen of the Underworld. Therefore SHE should be Ereshkigal. I still think if you are going to find western equivalents they gotta be the same sex or it doesnt make sense. Ereshkigal had a bloke who wore a shiny me-suit apparently. I don’t know how he fits into all this!

  8. What a terrific article! Thank you for sharing and for the mention. This collection of knowledge and informative links that you have provided are of huge interest, as you may already understand. I look forward to sharing this! Enjoy your week. :o )

    I agree with Jamie.

Eris is not a Plutino. It doesn’t have 3:2 to orbital resonance with Neptune like Pluto,Orcus, and Huya does.
Eris is classed as a scattered disk object with a Proserpina-Persephone orbit (half of its orbital period very near Pluto and half of its orbital period very far from Pluto).

Plutinos have orbits that are nearly 250 years.

Eris orbital period is around 560 years.

  9. Ok after some sleep I am comfortable with Ereshkigal having a sex change. Was getting abit too up my Lilith there. Thanks for clearing that up about Eris Raymond.
And Jamie I forgot to mention what a stonking great post this is..!

    P E R S E P H O N E with an “S” ALWAYS. if one can not even spell it, does one know it?

Why would one want to play name games with all this interplanetary trash and the 5000+ bits of junk, when one is still in the dark about the planets? Lunations and their angles for various locations and referents to mundane charts are important. General statements are too vague to be taken seriously without this grounding.

I suppose the tid-bits of mythology, mixed into a fusion-stew are quite impressive to the ladies over afternoon tea, but they don’t put potatoes on the table.

Persephone is a corn storage goddess, also called Kore, who after being ‘stored’ in the underworld (jars) is planted and new growth of crops emerges. The myth is one of a number, if not all, which circles around the obviously agricultural cycle of life-death-life-death. The Greek myth is a combination of the Sumerian-Babylonia myth of the katabasis of Inanna-Ishtar and the Hittite myth of Telepinu (who is masculine).

The theory of gaseous induction of the Pythia is not generally accepted. Use with extreme caution. If at all.

    More on War later.

    feliciter.

  10. 7.7 mag earthquake in Sumatra just over 4 hours before Pluto stations retrograde.

  11. Yikes and the June Eclipse is at 4 degrees Capricorn!

  12. and September – 0 degrees Aries!

“two faults intersect directly below the Delphic temple. The study also found evidence of hallucinogenic gases rising from a nearby spring and preserved within the temple rock.” National Geographic

Kore, means maiden, and in no other reference material to either Persephone or Proserpine, or even the Sumerian Ishtar, is the equation of jar and storage mentioned.
I am interested in the source of this as yes, parts of the mythology do relate to grain and the cycles of crops, but they also relate to sexuality – Ishtar and her disrobing through the 7 gates and the lack of mating etc etc and the rape/abduction of the ‘maiden’ daughter of the grain Goddess/s

    Karen: read Walter Burkert.

Funk: I meant amongst reputable Classical scholars. Not pop lit.

    Lorenzo :
    P E R S E P H O N E with an “S” ALWAYS. if one can not even spell it, does one know it?

It’s called a typo, as you can see from past blogs on “Lilith Pages” I have always spelt it with an S.

I’ll have to quickly quote WIKI at you because I am busy with other stuff.

“According to the personal mythology of Robert Graves,[14] Persephone is not only the younger self of Demeter[15], she is in turn also one of three guises of the Triple Goddess — Kore (the youngest, the maiden, signifying green young corn), Persephone (in the middle, the nymph, signifying the ripe ears waiting to be plucked), and Hecate (the eldest of the three, the crone, the harvested corn), which to a certain extent reduces the name and role of Demeter to that of groupname. Before Persephone was abducted by Hades, an event witnessed by the shepherd Eumolpus and the swineherd Eubuleus (they saw a girl being carried of into the earth which had violently opened up, in a black chariot, driven by an invisible driver), she was called Kore. It is when she is taken that she becomes Persephone (‘she who brings destruction’).”

I think this makes total sense.

Is Robert Ranke Graves “Pop Lit” too then?

  16. Also, further research into Walter Burkert, who is heavily referenced in all wiki articles regarding Greek mythology

    http://books.google.com.au/books?id=pNGOeAh1780C&pg=PA259&dq=walter+burkert+persephone&cd=4#v=onepage&q&f=false

Here, I find mention of the storage symbolism regards the grain, however, Burkert seems to discount the agricultural cycle entirely.

    it’s complicated cf
Structure and History in Greek Mythology and Ritual, 1979
    Greek Religion,1977, 1985

I’m not surprised he is referenced.

His basic tenet is that the hunter killer men identification of hunted and hunter, sacrifice and feast and the death cycle underlies the whole of the mythological elaboration, which is cultic and performance ritual in a society. This runs very against the individual psychological interpretation or obfuscation of the modern, ie, 19th and 20th century Romantic-wiccan-ist-astrological et-non re-writing of it.

    @ Marina.
yes Graves is very much just fluff and nonsense. But that’s common knowledge.

  17. @Lorenzo
I like Poets, expecially fluffhead bonkers ones. Have you read his Myth book? I havent, but I want to now.
I don’t listen to “common knowledge”.

    @MF

I think I read it about 30+ years ago.
    Never again.
Keep a strong antiseptic at hand.

Bonkers is bonkers, but the history of bonkers is serious business indeed. I do not see any need to create an astrological– of all things! — Alice in Wonderland.

    feliciter.

  18. Bonkers is not always bonkers. There are countless examples of Uranian innovation that was thought of “bonkers” when it was first aired.

Alice In Wonderland lends itself to astrological archetypes very well to my mind. But with Sun quintile Neptune I can’t help but see thing poetically. I refer you to Sun Conjunct Mercury.

But as you also have with it Sun and AC on Regulus, there is no way we are ever going to see eye to eye. I would dearly love to see where your Priapus is located. It would explain things.

For Priapus, a wonderful peice of writing here might enlighten you:Black Moon Lilith & The Cardinal Crisis.

I’m certain you would like to see my priapus, but you can’t. You don’t have enough money.
I love it that you think you know my chart.
    Or yours.
    Or anyone’s.
    LOL

  19. Lorenzo, Marina interprets charts for a living and most of our clients are very knowledgeable about astrology. We always get excellent feedback and you can see a few of the testimonials on our readings page.

Marina knows enough about your chart to know you have Natal Sun Conjunct MercuryIt may be hard for them to separate their ego from their thinking, taking it far too personally when anyone disagrees with their opinion. They can be masters of spin.”

You did say on our Facebook PageOf course I got REGULUS. so don’t mess with with me. it’s conjunct my Sun and Moon and Mercury and Asc. I RULE !

You may rule your kitchen Lorenzo but we are not your dish pigs here.
